The Sunday League for 2021

Fur & Feather, Old Oak Farm 21st November

This is the final match of the season, and everyone is encouraged to attend. The weather may challenge us, but the mince pies, pulled pork and hot drinks will make you feel wonderful again!

Banks, 26th September

Mixed success on our last match with some struggling to find the fish. However nearly 500lb total for the season is not bad at all. Well done everyone.

July 25th, Boddington Reservoir

Our first visit to Boddington!

I’ve spoken to ‘Keith the Baliff’ and we are on Pegs 27 – 17. This is on the Dam Wall. As you leave the large car park, we miss pegs 29 & 28 and start on 27 and have the pegs down to 17. There is a different match along the rest of the wall.

Fishery Rules:

  • Max 6 Carp to a net. Weigh and continue if you get 6.
  • Separate net for silvers.
  • Anything over 20lb gets weighed and returned
  • If you get close to the limit, weigh and continue.
  • Competition nets (ideally)

Recommended approach:

  • PVA
  • Boilies
  • Pellet
  • Corn
  • Maggots

Steve W. had his rod and reel pulled into the lake and his other rod smashed up a few seconds later. Not a day he will want to remember.

Old Oak Farm, Sunday 13th June

Secretary’s comment:

Stuart’s 7 pound common took him down the lake through 2 pegs bringing some excitement to Drew – but he managed to land it even with his sunburn!

Mills Pool, Sunday 23rd May

A cold and windy day. Pooh would have been ‘blustery’…

Mark ‘wet foot’ Exley slipped off his stage into the lake during his weigh!

Mill Pool, 11th April

Secretary comments: A cold day with snow showers. Stuart had a good fish on before it let go and came off. Let’s hope for better come summer!

Special note to Paul Hale: No singing in F sharp allowed from now on due to noise risk.
